Huascaran Sur
With a summit that lies at 6768 meters, Huascaran Sur is the highest mountain in Peru. It is one of the peaks that form the Huascaran massif.
Huascaran Sur is 113 meters higher than Husacaran Norte. In 1932, Huascaran Sur was first climbed by a German - Austrian expedition, while Annie Peck first climbed the Huascaran Norte in 1908.
Huascaran Sur has several routes in varying levels of difficulty.
How to Get There
From Huaraz, ride a taxi to reach Musho. From there, you can hire mule drivers and mules to go to the basecamp.
