Trekking & Climbing in Cocuy
The 5 day trekking has 2 campsites; 1 at the bottom of Pan de Azucar and 1 at Laguna de la Plaza. The 1st day will be easy with this a few hours walk through Valle de Lagunillas to get acclimatized to the height. The 2nd day will be tough as we climb up to 5000m to the Devil Pulpit or even up to 5100m to the top of Pan de Azucar. The 3rd day we will walk to Laguna de la Plaza for the last 2 nights. If you are lucky you can see at this lake with sunrise Cerro Diamante changing into a gold color. The 4th day you have a few options, relax and enjoy the views, walk around the lake or climb up to an ice cave in one of the the glaciers of Cerros de la Plaza. The 5th day will be the walk back to catch transport back to Cocuy.
There will be one day of transport to get to Cocuy and one day back to Bogotá.
