Mercedario
Situated less than fifty miles north of Aconcagua, Mercedario is South America's fourth highest mountain. It has gentle slopes and is generally easy to climb.

Best climbing months are late December, January, February, and March.

Fly to Mendoza, Argentina. You can take a local bus from Mendoza to Barreal.
Nearest major airports are in Santiago, Chile and Mendoza, Argentina.
