Journey into the remote wilderness region of Te Urewera National Park, the largest National Park in the North Island of New zealand, which is also the most diverse botanical region in New Zealand. Over 650 different plant species! Lush temperate rainforest combined with plentiful native birdlife (including kiwi, kaka, tui, and kereru).
Walking 4 to 6 hours per day with a light backpack, in a small group, with knowledgeable and friendly local guides.
