Adrift Guided Outdoor Adventures
Cast yourself adrift from your daily routine & explore New Zealand at its best

We are an outdoor adventure company offering guided adventures all over New Zealand tailored to suit you.

Here are some of our favourites

Tramping hiking trekking backpacking walking Adventures

The Tongariro Crossing – NZ’s best one-day hike.*

The Tongariro crossing track passes over varied and spectacular volcanic terrain. In the presence of active volcanoes, you can experience some of Tongariro National Park’s special charms- a cold mountain spring, lava flows, an active crater, steam vents, emerald- coloured lakes and magnificent views.

Tongariro Northern Circuit- ‘Great Walk” of NZ.*

This three-day trek winds its way over Mt Tongariro and around Mt Ngauruhoe, passing through unique and stunning landforms which include volcanic craters and glacial valleys ending with the famous Tongariro Crossing.

These trips can be done any time of year summer and winter. During winter you have the opportunity to walk on glaciers and snow-fields using crampons and enjoy all the sights of summer but without the crowds.
You don’t need to be experienced or super-fit or to have expensive tramping gear – we can provide you with all equipment needed

Whanganui River Canoe Adventures*
1 day to 6 days
Gently paddle through the unspoilt beauty of the Whanganui River National Park. Be amazed by the stunning gorges and the lush native forest. The Whanganui is an extremely safe river to navigate, however there are a number of small rapids that will increase the adrenaline flow and offer the chance of a refreshing dunk in the water.
Accommodation is either in tents or DoC huts. All equipment is provided

Great Walks of New Zealand
*The Whanganui River Journey, Tongariro Crossing and Tongariro Northern Circuit are all classified as Department of Conservation’s (DoC’s) ‘Great Walks’ of NZ. They pass through some of the best scenery in the country and the huts and tracks are of a higher standard than other areas.

Coromandel Sea Kayak

The Beauty of the Coromandel coastline is best enjoyed by sea. Spend the day paddling, fishing, snorkeling and swimming. Accommodation each night is in a typical “Kiwi Bach” This can be either a basic dwelling something more luxurious, yet all are situated in the most pristine positions, wether on the beachfront or with a magnificent view.
