My name is Lucie LaPlante, Wilderness Guide and Outdoor Educator. I have been guiding nature tours and teaching outdoor skills in New Hampshire for over 14 years. I love wild New Hampshire with its four seasons, and want to share it with everyone who'll try wilderness travel in New England’s northern Appalachian Mountain area.

New Hampshire has it all--rivers, mountains, lakes, and seacoast...spring, summer, fall, and winter!

In the Spring of 2003 I started Outdoor Escapes New Hampshire, LLC, and I'm committed to creating and providing the best recreation/wilderness adventures that fulfill the interests and abilities of participants from around the world. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the most scenic and wild places in New Hampshire.

Custom ESCAPES are outdoor adventures that last one day or up to 10 days. Adventurists of all ages are immersed in New Hampshire's nature and heritage. The longer the trip, the more you get out of it.

The following list includes your guided tour and, if you wish, on-the-trial skills lessons and nature/history interpretation. Prices (subject to change) are per adult and depend on the number of participants and the custom options chosen. Family prices are also available. Your Custom ESCAPE may include help with finding ground transportation and lodging options to complete your vacation package. Meals and rental equipment may be included in your Custom ESCAPE.

Additional	You will fill out a Custom ESCAPE Reservation Request with many options, including meals, rental equipment, type of lodging (wilderness camping, b&b, etc.). You may choose a one activity or a multi-activity Custom ESCAPE (hike, bike, paddle, ski, snowshoe, survival lesson, nature tour, etc.). Once that is submitted, you will be given a price quote. Upon deposit or full payment for your Custom ESCAPE, your confirmation packet will include a comprehensive list of things to bring to help you enjoy your trip, along with directions to meet Lucie at the start of the trip. Lucie may also help you find ground transportation and lodging for before and after your Custom ESCAPE.
Nearby Attractions	There are many nearby attractions in New Hampshire, as it only takes about 3 to 5 hours to drive south to north, or east to west! Whale watching, horseback riding, museums, nature centers, maple sugar houses, downhill ski areas, snowmobiling, boating, ATV rentals, tax-free shopping outlets, scenic train rides...

Policies & Conditions

1. Children under 18 are allowed with an accompanying adult.
2. Youth groups must have adequate supervision coverage.
3. Group size may be limited.
4. Each Participant (and parent/guardian of each Participant under 18) on outdoor activities must complete and sign a “Medical Form” and a “Participant Agreement, Release, and Acknowledgement of Risk” form.
5. Alcohol, illegal substances, and sometimes dogs will not be tolerated.
6. Helmets must be worn when bicycling.
7. PFDs (Personal Floatation Devices) must be worn when paddling canoes and kayaks.
8. Responsibility: Although every precaution is taken to safeguard you and your belongings, remote wilderness adventure trips involve inherent risks and dangers, which are beyond our control. Outdoor ESCAPES New Hampshire, LLC shall assume no responsibility for personal injuries or deaths and loss of personal property. We highly recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance.

Family snowshoeing near Squam Lake in NH's Lakes Region, where the movie "On Golden Pond" was filmed. Lucie is great with kids and is sure to point out the signs of wildlife in the winter--tracks, scat, and more.

Mountain bike tour. Looking for a gentle grade or a downhill thrill? Lucie knows the trails for mountain biking and bicycle touring in all regions of New Hampshire. Tours and lessons are available through scenic farmland, boreal forests, mountain slopes, single track, logging roads, or rail trails.

Snowshoe hiking the White Mountains of New Hampshire, available January through April. Bring a friend or your whole family, Lucie will guide you hiking safely up and down all year round!
