Quandary Peak
Like Castle Peak, Quandary Peak (4348 meters) is also the 12th highest mountain in Colorado. It is the highest point and the only Colorado Fourteeener in the Ten Mile Range, a series of peaks extending south from Frisco all the way to the Continental Divide.
Quandary Peak is located just south of Breckenridge, Colorado. Winter climb and ski descent are great in Quandary Peak. It offers many climbing options and skiing routes for beginners in backcountry skiing.
The road is accessible all year round and the summit offers breathtaking views.
Quandary Peak has many routes. East Ridge is the easiest one, which is great for those who are climbing a Fourteener for the first time. Another route is the South 'Cristo' Couloir which is a 45 degree slope from the base tot he Quandary's summit.
