Mount Elbert Lodge & Cabins
Mount Elbert Lodge, located 4 miles west of Twin Lakes, at the base of
Colorado's highest peak, boasts beautiful mountain scenery and great
opportunities for you to fish, hike, ski, snowshoe or just relax on the
porch. A day trip might include the National Mining Museum in Leadville or
a raft trip on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista. La Plata and Mount
Elbert peaks are close by as are Forebay reservoir and Turquoise Lake. We
have peaks for hiking, lakes and streams for fishing, lots of trails to
explore or deck chairs to relax in and soak up our high altitude sun and
scenery. In the winter guests may ski at Ski Cooper, Copper Mountain or
Vail ski areas or snowshoe right out our door. Located in the center of a
triangle created by Buena Vista, Leadville and Aspen Colorado, We are just
two and a half hours west of either Denver or Colorado Spring.
