Mount Elbert
Mount Elbert is popular among hikers and is a relatively easy climb. At 4399 meters, Mount Elbert is the highest peak in Colorado and in the Rocky Mountains. It is the second highest peak in the Continental United States after Mount Whitney.
Mount Elbert was named after a controversial governor of Colorado named Samuel Elbert in 1873.

Climb during the summer season (June - September).
