Mount Shasta
Mount Shasta is situated in the Cascade Range in California. At a height of 4317 meters, Mount Shasta is the second highest mountain in the Cascade Range. One unique thing about this mountain is that it has four separate cones which are on top of each other. The top and movst visible cone is called Shastina.
Weather Conditions
Winter climbs can be very dangerous because of avalanches and the constant changes in weather. It is crucial to check the forecast first and take the necessary precautions before taking the climb.
Best Time to Climb
In general, climbs can be made all year. The months of May until October offer the good conditions to climb, while there are less people who climb Mount Shasta during winter because of avalanche and weather conditions.
