This mountain would be great to take a hike up. I do not know how far up one can go before needing climbing gear. Also it is probably dangerous in Mexico at this time. But to have a hikeng trail from base to top. The Wilkipedia online says this mountain''s prominence is 16,148, ranked 7th on earth. The hiking trail on Mt. Whitney is 21.4 round trip with over six thousand feet vertical rise. This mountains trail would be about 40 miles round trip. With 16,000 feet in elevation gain. Lets see a Whitney one day hiker do this one in one day.
