Also called Tabletop because of its flat summit, is a preserved area as Parc de la Gaspésie in Gaspé Peninsula. At 1268 meters, Mont Jacques-Cartier is the highest point in the Chic-Choc Mountains. It is situated at the north side of Gaspé Peninsula in Gaspesian Provincial Park in eastern Quebec.
There is a four-kilometer steep trail which climbs to the summit. This is a well-maintained trail which extends across the boulder field and southwest on the crest of the range.
Best Time to Climb
Mont Jacques-Cartier is accessible only from June 24 until September 30 only.
