Your Lake Superior Paddling Experts!
We've been leading trips along Lake Superior's coast and her adjacent headwaters since 1994. People often ask us if we ever get used to Superior's beauty and, no matter who you ask, full or part time staff, guides or guests, everyone will answer with a resounding "NO". Superior's beauty is never ending, always changing and her spirit constantly renewing. We invite you to join us and let Superior's spirit renew yours!
Our home is a 2.8 hectare peninsula of Canadian bedrock and beach, located on Lake Superior at the mouth of the mighty Michipicoten River. This place we call "Rock Island" is where you'll find our lodge and paddling centre. With more than 50 Sea Kayaks, surf kayaks, tandem canoes and our 36ft Voyageur Canoe we are the largest, well actually the ONLY, paddling centre right on Lake Superior.
Paddle from our protected beach to Pukaskwa National Park, Lake Superior Provincial Park and hundreds of kilometers of shoreline in between. Our lodge is a great place to start or finish a trip.
We have been recognized by the Canadian Tourism Commission as an ecotourism operator with exemplary practices. Thanks CTC!
