We have 3, 4, 6, 7 & 10 day tour options outlined below: For those with less time, we have a 3 day tour option to suit! Banff and Jasper National Parks, short scenic hikes, some activity options. Our "Wilderness Explorer" tour for those who want a taste of the 'wild' rockies. Departs Tuesdays. Our 3 day "Explorer" tour for those who like their amenities but stlll want to experience the incredible scenery of Banff & Jasper. Departs Saturdays. Please note: Saturday departures stay at Lake Louise Hostel and Alpine Centre, then Jasper International Hostel. Both have all amenities and are located close to town services. Tuesday departures spend the night at Mosquito wilderness hostel in Banff National Park and at Mt Edith Cavell wilderness hostel in Jasper National Park. These hostels have no running water or electricity, are in stunning mountain settings, and are an experience in themselves! All hostels have bedding provided, equipped kitchens and on site staff. 6 Days: Our classic 6 day tour. Banff and Jasper National Parks, Lake Louise, the Icefield Parkway, Columbia Icefields and more... Optional activities may include Rafting (Kicking Horse river) Caving, Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Horse riding. The tour Includes hostel accommodation, most meals and Guided access to some of the best short hikes in the Rockies. Tours start from either Calgary or Banff. Our most popular tour starts Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays through the summer season. 4 Days: Waterton Lakes tour. For the hikers! With two full days in Waterton, and 3 nights at the Luxurious 'Waterton Lakes Lodge' hostel, there will be time to hike the famous Crypt Lake trail as well as experiencing some of the amazing shorter hikes, activities and adventures available in this lesser known, but beautiful National Park. The tour includes stops at Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, a UNESCO world heritage site, Frank Slide, Fort Macleod, and the Bar U Cowboy Ranch (a National Historic Site) Departures are from Banff and Calgary, every Tuesday, June through September.
Our 7 & 10 day tours are 'combo' tours combining the best of our shorter tours into one package.
7 days: A tour of Banff, Jasper and Waterton National Parks that covers all the famous scenic sights. We have time to sample the scenery and hiking in Banff and Jasper National Parks, plus stay in the Alpine Centre hostel in Waterton and get some hiking in. In between we have a break to explore Banff town (accommodation included) The excellent hiking in Waterton Lakes National Park, in Alberta's Southwest is an attraction for those looking for an 'off the beaten track' experience. After our 7 days of Wildlife, hiking and stunning scenery, we return to Banff or Calgary. Tours start Saturdays and Tuesdays, June to September. 10 days: After 6 days of Adventure and shorter hikes in Banff and Jasper National Parks, take a night off, in your choice of Banff or Calgary (accommodation included). Then we head to Waterton Lakes National Park, where the excellent hiking is topped off by 3 nights in the luxurious HI Waterton Alpine Centre. This Park is known for wildlife viewing, and it's famous wildflower meadows. We hike at least one of the famous full day hikes here. On the way we visit Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump to be introduced to Aboriginal Buffalo hunting culture at the excellent Interpretive Centre, built into the cliffside. On the way back to Calgary, along the 'cowboy trail' we stop at the Frank Slide and the Bar U Ranch, where you can see real cowboys at work. Departs Wednesdays, June to September
