Summer Species Walks Coming in June

WEDNESDAY, 27 MAY 2009


Phoenix, AZ - Learn about nature at "species walks" at Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park in June 2009.

Dragonfly Guided Walk
Saturday, June 6 from 9:30am until 11:30am
Learn to identify Dragonfly species such as the Blue-eyed Darner and the Flame Skimmer at the Arboretum's Queen Creek and Ayer Lake.

Learn Your Lizards Guided Walk
Saturday, June 7 from 8:30am until 10:00am
Desert Spiny Lizards can grow as big as bratwursts at the Arboretum. Join this guided tour and see as many as six lizard species. Be sure to bring binoculars!

Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park is Arizona's oldest botanical garden. It is located three miles west of historic Superior on U.S. Highway 60. The walks are free with park admission. Phone 520-689-2723 or visit ag.arizona.edu/bta for more information.
