Bath, NY - Anne Pinneo, Business Manager of Hickory Hill Camping Resort in Bath, New York, has been designated a Certified Park Operator (CPO) by the ARVC National School of RV Park & Campground Management.
The School, held at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV, is a 50 credit hour, intensive two-year long program conducted for one week each year. It offers park owners, operators, and managers a structured program covering a wide array of management and operations topics such as finance and administration, marketing, customer service, recreation management, and personnel management. An additional 25 credit hours are required to earn the CPO designation, and are earned through hands-on experience in park operation and attending industry events. CPO is the only professional designation in the outdoor hospitality industry.
Hickory Hill Camping Resort is a member of Campground Owners of New York (CONY), a statewide association dedicated to the promotion, growth, improvement and development of privately owned campgrounds in New York State. Ms. Pinneo received a scholarship from CONY to offset costs to attend the school. For more information about CONY or its member campgrounds and RV parks, visit www.nycampgrounds.com.
