Take a Hike with a Botanist on July 17

The organizers of the Outdoor Summer Fun Series at Western Carolina University are inviting all hiking enthusiasts to sign up for a special hiking trip called "Hike with a Botanist" which will be held on July 17.

Hike with a Botanist will give hiking enthusiasts the opportunity to further appreciate nature's beauty by embarking on a leisurely hike accompanied by one of the university's botany experts. Aside from enjoying an energetic hike, participants will learn more about plants as well as become familiar with the Appalachian ecosystem.

Interested participants are requested to register early since only 12 registrants will be accommodated. The registration fee for the hiking trip is $55 for adults. Children who are 10 to 16 years old have a special discounted rate.
