A 28-year old male hiker was found safe after spending the night at the American Fork Canyon in Utah.
According to Utah County Sheriff's search and rescue director Sgt. Tom Hodgson, the man went on a day hike last Monday morning at the Box Elder Trail but was forced to spend the night in the area after coming across two bears and getting caught in a rainstorm.
Hodgson added that the hiker's parents were the ones who contacted the authorities after the man failed to return home by Tuesday morning.
The search and rescue team found the hiker who was quite hypothermic, fatigued, and very thirsty but otherwise safe.
