Hike with Dogs at Ohio and Erie Canalway Trail

The Massillon Museum and the Massillon Parks and Recreation Department encourage dog owners to join the “The Call of the Wild Dog Hike” which will be held on Saturday, April 26, at the Ohio & Erie Canalway Trail.

The event is free and open to all friendly canines. Dogs must be leashed, and owners are required to bring cleanup supplies. The walk will start at 10am at the Massillon Recreation Center. Those who will join should park and meet at the north end of the Massillon Recreation lot at 505 Erie St. N.

Dog owners and their pets are invited to follow the Ohio & Erie Canalway Trail on top of the levee to the Lake Avenue Trailhead, where dogs will receive a little bag of "gold" treats - keeping with the Alaska Gold Rush theme.
