Take a Hike into Volunteering to be Held March 1
TUESDAY, 26 FEBRUARY 2008
A special hike and learn trip will be held at the Lookout Mountain Land Conservancy (LMC) this Saturday, March 1.
The event has been aptly dubbed, “Take a Hike into Volunteering”. It was organized by the American Hiking Society, in collaboration with the National Park Service Trails.
The hike is about 3.5 miles. The trip will enable event participants to engage in a moderate physical activity and at the same time, learn something about the LMC, the Reflection Arboretum & Botanical Garden, the Tennessee River Gorge Trust, and Jeffrey Hunter’s work.
Participants will also learn how they can accomplish their mission as volunteers. Contact Sarah Quattrochi, Volunteer Coordinator, at (423)653-0091 or sarahq@cnpchatt.org to register.
