Stranded Hiker at Franconia Ridge Rescued

A rescued hiker claimed that he is lucky to be alive and that he owes an eternal debt to his rescuer.
The hiker was identified as 36-year old James Osborne, a resident of Manchester. Osborne was rescued from Franconia Ridge and had survived a terrible storm in the area.
According to reports, Osborne and his friend Laurence Fredrickson, 55 years old, were on a hiking trip across the two-mile Franconia Ridge about 4,700 feet when the storm occurred.
The two hikers were found by the Army National Guard helicopter at the summit of Little Haystack the following morning. Unfortunately, Fredrickson passed away due to severe hypothermia.
