Hikers Invited to Adopt a Trail

The Union County Hiking is inviting all hiking enthusiasts as well as outdoor lovers who go to the Watchung Reservation to adopt a trail and give something back to the environment.
The group has organized an “Adopt-a-Trail” orientation as well as a general meeting which will be held on March 8 at 8:30am.
The event is open to everyone who is interested in adopting a section of a hiking or bridle trail. The said orientation will include an introduction to the Adopt-A-Trail Program. This involves a discussion on Invasive Plant Management, the How To’s of Maintenance, and updates on trail projects.
The Watchung Reservation is the largest park in Union County, New Jersey.
