Pittsburg Hiking, Biking Trail Project in Progress

MONDAY, 28 JANUARY 2008

Pittsburg’s hiking and biking trail project is set to kick off soon. This is after the city granted the bid for the project to local developer, Home Center Construction.

This project has been highly anticipated for the past couple of years. The actual construction is expected to begin this coming spring.

The trail project is expected to cost more than $400,000. Most of the expenses will be shouldered by the Kansas Department of Transportation. Meanwhile, the city will contribute nearly $100,000.
