Park Officials Seek Public Opinion on Trail Plan
THURSDAY, 31 JANUARY 2008
The officials of the Mammoth Cave National Park at Kentucky are currently seeking public opinion on the new draft of the Comprehensive Trail Management Plan.
A public open house has been set this coming February 7 at around six to eight in the evening. This will be held at the Mammoth Cave Hotel, where the people are welcome to submit written comments as well as to ask questions.
The said draft first began in 2006, and will affect the park’s management and usage of trails for the next 10 to 15 years.
The current draft includes five alternatives which address issues on facility, visitors and management.
