Park Officials Seek Public Opinion on Trail Plan |

The officials of the Mammoth Cave National Park at Kentucky are currently seeking public opinion on the new draft of the Comprehensive Trail Management Plan.
A public open house has been set this coming February 7 at around six to eight in the evening. This will be held at the Mammoth Cave Hotel, where the people are welcome to submit written comments as well as to ask questions.

Hiker’s Paradise Opens at Ulsters |

A new 41-kilometer hiker’s paradise called the Mourne Way has recently opened at Ulsters, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The hiking trail is strategically situated among the misty peaks of the Mourne Mountain which is located in South Down. It passes through Newcastle to Restrevor.

Network of Trails to Become Snowshoeing Area |

Several hiking trails situated in Central Ontario’s Haliburton region have been declared official snowshoeing areas for this winter season.
According to a press release by Haliburton Highlands Tourism, a total of nine trails measuring over 75 kilometers will be one of the most extensive snowshoeing options available in the province.

Pittsburg Hiking, Biking Trail Project in Progress |

Pittsburg’s hiking and biking trail project is set to kick off soon. This is after the city granted the bid for the project to local developer, Home Center Construction.

Volunteers Work Together to Make Trail |

Over 25 mountain biking enthusiasts and volunteers have worked together to complete the Philpott Trail last Saturday, January 26.
The group was composed of volunteers from Henry County Bike Club, Franklin Free-Wheelers, the Southern Virginia Mountain Bike Association, the Dan River Basin Association, Franklin County Parks and Recreation, and Martinsville Rivers and Trails.
