Cancer Survivor Hikes for a Cause

    WEDNESDAY, 24 OCTOBER 2007

Rob Shaver, a survivor of a rare bone cancer, is set on embarking on a hiking trip for a good cause. Shaver is currently working at the Lewis and Clarke Outfitters, a shop located in the new Midtowne Center.

Shaver, along with his friend Blaine Pipps, will go on a hiking trip at the Ouachita National Forest in order to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

For every mile that Shaver and Pipps will hike, they will receive a donation worth five dollars from their respective sponsors.

According to Shaver, the hike is expected to last for 10 days.
