WEDNESDAY, 29 NOVEMBER 2006
Chouf, Lebanon - Ecodit, a private, for-profit environmental consultancy and the US Forest Service have held a number of workshops aimed to restore the trails in the Chouf Cedar Nature Reserve in Lebanon.
About 40 participants attended the workshops. They were able to learn techniques and principles in trail renovation. They also had a hands-on experience in constructing and keeping "pathways cutting through dense woodlands".
The workshops are a part of the Lebanon Mountain Trail Project which aims to construct a 300-kilometer hiking trail linking North and South Lebanon.
