Scottish Gas Workers Raised Money for CCLASP
WEDNESDAY, 27 SEPTEMBER 2006
A total of more than £4000 was raised by hiking 76 miles across Scotland. Scottish Gas workers took part in the Great Glen Way walk which went from Fort William to Inverness for a children's cancer charity.
They also hosted their own race night and a bowling event to gain £4227 for the Edinburgh based charity Children with Cancer and Leukemia Advise and Support for Parents (CCLASP). Robert Darge, the Scottish Gas centre manager gave the money to CCLASP at the company's head quarter in Edinburgh and said, "All the blisters are worth it when we see the total raised", he further added.
