Hike for a Cause

THURSDAY, 21 SEPTEMBER 2006

Tim McNeish, a Granville psychiatrist will participate in the Hike for a Cure on Sunday in California's Yosemite Park. He is doing it to raise money for research to find a cure for histiocytosis.

Eleven year-old Connor, McNeish's son was diagnosed with histiocytosis which is caused by an excess white blood cells called histiocytes and can be life threatening in some cases. The hike is 18 miles round trip and will take eight to twelve hours complete.
