The sixty-one year old who was identified as Arvindkumar K. Pancholi from Massachusetts suffered a fatal heart attack while hiking the summit of Cannon Mountain.

According to Lt. Todd Bogardus, an official of Fish and Game Department Pancholi together with his friends went hiki
ng in Lonesome Lake Trail when he suffered the attack. Pancholi was unable to be revived.

A total of more than £4000 was raised by hiking 76 miles across Scotland. Scottish Gas workers took part in the Great Glen Way walk which went from Fort William to Inverness for a children's cancer charity.

They also hosted their own race night and a bowling event to gain £422
7 for the Edinburgh based charity Children with Cancer and Leukemia Advise and Support for Parents (CCLASP). Robert Darge, the Scottish Gas centre manager gave the money to CCLASP at the company's head quarter in Edinburgh and said, "All the blisters are worth it when we see the total raised", he further added.

On October 21, the Historic Hudson Farm will open its gate again for its second annual Fall Charity Hike. The farm which is formerly known as the Hudson Guild Farm is opened for hikers and makes donations for each person who hikes. The hike will be along Highland Trail, a 150 mile trail t
hat run from the Hudson River to the Delaware River.

Last year the hike raised about $19,000 for the Byram School District, Lakeland Emergency Squad and township fire department. The New Jersey Initial Response Team is the new added charity for this year and a volunteer search and rescue organization will also benefit from the hike that will take place at the Hudson Farm in Hopatcong and Byram.

There were five hundred participants who hiked a 3.5 mile trail at the farm last year which includes an infant who was the youngest participants. The Hudson Farm is a 3,000 acre property off of Stanhope-Sparta Road.

A visitor from Russia who visited Utah and went hiking in Timpanogos cave died after he fell hundreds of feet off a cliff. He slipped in the rocks and fell of 200 foot cliff while he was trying to rescue a three year old girl.

The three year old girl fell down about 75 feet int
o the shale rocks while his father tried to rescue her but couldn't and that’s when a family friend from Russia tried to get down to the girl and sadly fell into a cliff.

Rescue team brought in the Life Flight Hoist to lift the three year old girl off the mountain and brought her to the Primary Children's Medical Center. The Russian victim's body wasn't found yet and it could take all night for the rescue team to recover his body.

Tim McNeish, a Granville psychiatrist will participate in the Hike for a Cure on Sunday in California's Yosemite Park. He is doing it to raise money for research to find a cure for histiocytosis.

Eleven year-old Connor, McNeish's son was diagnosed with histiocytosis which is ca
used by an excess white blood cells called histiocytes and can be life threatening in some cases. The hike is 18 miles round trip and will take eight to twelve hours complete.
