How to React When Confronted By Cattle
WEDNESDAY, 30 AUGUST 2006
GENEVA, Switzerland – Due to numerous reports of unpleasant meetings between hikers and cattle along the Switzerland’s alpine trail, the Swiss Hiking Federation set some regulation on how to react when confronted by cattle.
The hiking association said that walkers should keep distance, avoid eye contact and never to hug a Swiss cow. Many walkers easily get scared and panic when they are confronted by cattle. Hiking association recommends that walkers should remain calm and slowly leave the area without turning their backs on the animal.
