Dead Body Found in a National Forest

FRIDAY, 25 AUGUST 2006

Lincoln, N.H. – A body was discovered at an abandoned campsite in White Mountain National Forest. It was believed to be the man who was reported missing September of last year.

The skeletal remains were discovered by a search dog in a remote area off the Cedar Brook Trail. Medical examiners are already working to identify the body and the cause of his death.

Authorities believed the remains are those of the 47 year old Brian Smith who went hiking in the area last September.
