Writing Workshop for Outdoor Enthusiasts
TUESDAY, 18 APRIL 2006
Do you love to write as much as you love the outdoors? If yes, then sign up for the workshop sponsored by the Colorado Mountain Club.
The workshop entitled, “Adventure Writing: Getting More Out of Getting Out” will be conducted by Bob Root at the Golden State Park on May 20, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The whole day event will let participants, “record and reflect upon (their) outdoor experiences,” through their writing of essays, memoirs and articles while at the same time helping them to write those experiences, “more fully and vividly.” It is open to both private writers and aspiring authors.
Root, the workshop's instructor, taught composition and creative non-fiction at the Central Michigan University. Aside from that, he also taught outdoor writing sessions at the Traverse Bay Summer Workshops.
