Hike and Live Like an Archaeologist

THURSDAY, 15 DECEMBER 2005

Hike and experience how an archeologist lives with Adirondack Mountain Club’s Archaeology and Rock Art Hike. The hike will be held at Butler Wash, Utah on April 24-30, 2006. Interested parties have to make a deposit before January 1 to join the hike.

Participants will hike along with trained archaeologists and will be trained in whichever task they choose. They’ll also investigate or even discover ancient ruins, explore cliff dwellings, and many more. All the sites will be documented to professional standards. Hikers will cover at least two to four miles everyday across the beautiful and historic Butler Wash. This hike is a project in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management.

The hike costs $1095 inclusive of food, staff, transportation, supplies, and group equipment. For more information, contact the leader Sandy Hildreth at shildreth@adelphia.net or log on to www.northnet.org/adktravel.
