One of the most famous land forms on Earth are the mountains of Nepal. Not only does Nepal house a part of Mt. Everest, the highest peak on earth, it is also a part of the Himalayas mountain range.
Eight of the top ten highest mountains on earth are in Nepal, namely Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna, with Mt. Everest topping the list. Trekking in Nepal is surely one experience that always has its perks every time you come back for another visit.
As was coined by some frequent Nepal trekkers, here are some of their several reasons for going there.
To be one with nature. Trekkers go on a Nepal trekking adventure to experience the natural high that goes with being out in the open, with nothing but vast land forms and endless horizons.
To be a part of history. Since Nepal is one with so many celebrated peaks, historians, students, and other academic individuals get attracted to its natural beauty and splendor.
To relax. Others prefer beaches or the comforts of home, but some like the openness of being on the top of the world, looking down below at all other of God's creations.
Trekking in Nepal also appeals to those who want to study and be a part of history. It is known for having a colorful chronicle of events, even if it is the youngest republic in the world.
Combined with its picturesque geography, Nepal's pride also consists of its share of leaders who, throughout Nepal's history has stood for and by it. Mostly ruled by a dynasty of kings until it became a republic last year, The Republic of Nepal is now lead by its first ever president, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav.
What the country lacks in its slow economic development, it makes up for its tourism. People from all over go to Nepal for that much wanted and much needed dose of adventure.
Thank God for technology, for going to Nepal is as easy as any tour that one goes into. Travel agencies from almost all countries have custom made itineraries that fit your needs, plus bonus offers, like an overnight stay in a hotel before and after the trek, free buffet dinner after the trek, and the list goes on. All you have to do is fill up some forms, call for confirmation, pay and there you have it!
A shopping spree and some orientation and you are ready to go.
If you are tired of the usual mountains that hold no challenge anymore, try going to the Himalayas, Nepal side. Not only will you be treating yourself to a grand experience, but also be starring in a story that you’ll be telling your children and grandchildren in the future.
Nepal trekking is not just for the fun of trekking, but also for the love of natural high. A year of stressful office days will be vanished in just the few hours that you will go up the mountains and down.
Think of it as extreme exercise.
