Nature has a way of putting us at ease and relaxed that not even our very homes nor our closest friends and family members could provide. The way one communes with nature can be considered a cleansing to the point that it is spiritual.
These are some activities that you can enjoy alone or with company, guaranteed to give you that lightening up feeling despite the physical effort it requires.
Go for a good nature walk. Every national park is a great destination for hiking trips and this park boasts nearly 200 miles of hiking trails to travel. The trails vary from easy to strenuous and can accommodate long or short day hikes.
Trails leading up to Cascade Canyon has great views of the Grand Teton Mountains. The trail on Hidden Falls which leads along Jenny Lake is also perfect for day hikes in the summer.
Longer
hiking trails are also available like the difficult climb up to Death Canyon. There's also the Granite Canyon that follows the Granite Creek all the way to Marion Lake, among dozens of other exciting trails to explore.
Sit back and watch the birds fly. Besides the Grand Teton Mountains, the park is also home to the National Elf Refuge. Here, a wide variety of migrant and breeding birds rest easy in a beautiful habitation.
On the wide open countryside, expect the Prairie Falcon and the Mountain Bluebird. Trumpeter Swans can also be found along the wet grasslands on Jackson Hole. Other species of birds can also be seen all throughout the park such as Sage Thrashers, Violet-green Swallows, Savannah sparrows, and so much more. Seeing these creatures in their natural habitat is truly a majestic and relaxing experience.
Adventure trips are designed to remind us that nature is the only thing that we have when man first walked the earth. These trips are not just for you, but also a way of giving back to where we all started in the first place.
