3 Great Treasures at Denali National Park in Alaska There are a lot of adventures you can discover when it comes to climbing or hiking at Denali National Park in Alaska.

Mt. McKinley. The locals and nearby neighbors of Alaska call the mountain, Denali for "The Great One." Other states call it Mt. McKinley to avoid confusion with the park. But no matter what you call it, at 20,320 feet, the mountain is still the highest mountain peak in North America and a great spot for hiking and climbing destinations. It's considered a difficult and dangerous climb, taking the lives of a great number of mountaineers over the years, but for those who dare take up the challenge; it is surely worth the effort.

Every mountain boasts of an amazing view from the top; and considering the difficulty level, taking over four weeks to reach the peak, any level of ascent still gives access to magnificent views. A look at the height of this great mountain peak is absolutely breathtaking. Whether you're watching the sunrise, the sunset, or at any particular time of a clear beautiful day, a spectacular vista will surely await you.

The Wildlife. A host of wild animals also calls Denali National Park in Alaska home. From sheep and caribou, to bears and moose, you will get a peek into a panoramic view of these creatures in their natural habitat. Be very careful though. Some views require a great distance and precaution to appreciate in a safer manner. And interaction with some wildlife, as expected, is not encouraged. Make sure to undergo proper preparation and training on animal encounters in the park before rushing into the bushes.

The Trail less Park. For hikers, Denali National Park is mostly a trail less park. There will definitely be uneven and difficult terrain. But it would certainly be an adventure to explore the land much like in the old days. With your proper gear and equipment intact, expect journeying of Denali's vegetation consisting of both the taiga and the tundra geography to be an enjoyable experience.
