My name is Joel and I am planning an adventure of my own to section hike the Florida Trail one weekend at a time. I have created a website to document my adventures. If you would like to read blogs and watch video blogs of my adventures go to www.floridatrailproject.com. You can also email me at floridatrailproject@cox.net. Hope you enjoy the site. Joel

Hey joel!

Welcome to ABC of Hiking! I just checked your website.. I think it's useful..... and very realistic indeed..

Anyway, i do hope you keep visiting us here. It's fun here, believe me!

You can perhaps check on the other threads and talk with the rest of us.... We do know you have personal hiking experiences you would want to share.....

Again, welcome to our hiking community! Have fun!

Welcome to the site!
You may want to postpone any hiking trips in north Florida for awile yet - the forests and low areas are soaked, swamps are high, rivers are cresting - a lot of flooding still going on in the aftermath of TS Fay!
Be very sure to get good info for the area you will be visiting.
Be careful out there!

Thanks for the warning. I am actually waiting until about mid-October before I start. Hopefully by then I will have dodged the hurricanes and the summer heat.
