I have been looking around. I find it hard to believe but there aren't that many hiking forums for folks that are not necessarily backpackers.

I am slowly adding to my supplies/ equipment/books. I don't really know anybody who does this.

We hike around the Sandias in New Mexico and I haven't travelled anywhere yet (maybe later). It is amazing to me that we have all this natural beauty within almost walking distance. (I drive so I don't waste my time with getting there.)
