I just joined up to the ABC of Hiking forum and thought I would say hi. I have not done a lot of hiking until very recently; I did a six day walk through England last September (The Dales Way trail) and loved it. So I want to do more. I am travelling to Reunion Island later this year and hope to do some decent day hikes there. Anyone been there? I live in New Zealand at the moment, but am from (and moving back to) Australia soon. I am hoping to find some clubs and make hiking a more regular thing that I do.

Hey Matt,

welcome to the forum! I am pretty new here myself, but I think you made a good choice. There are really useful tips and funny stories in here. I am from Europe, but I would like to go to New Zealand and Australia one day. What a shame that the flights are so expensive

I'm newbie here.
I want to share my experience in Indonesia, Karimun Jawa Islands is great place besides Bali and Raja Ampat.
it provides great sceenery of the sea and mountain as well. I can Hike and Dive. almost two weeks I stayed. the place is accessible only 6 bucks to there with fferry ships.
