New to hiking. Ive taken one of my girls on the AT in CT. She loved it. It was differant walking in the woods out of uniform and no weapon, However we had a great time. I think that we have found a new hobbie.

Packed lunch = $8.00
Eating lunch on the bank where ten mile river and the housatonic meet with my daughter PRICELESS.....

That sounds like it was a lot of fun! Some of my friends and I are fixing to go on a 27 mile 3 day hike in Arkansas. Its going to be a lot of fun!
