I've been to the Philippines twice in my life. Manila is hectic. You have to go further and further to really witness the beauty of this island. Very underrated in travel culture. There is a province in the P.I. called Nueva Vizcaya. My uncles and aunts told me about this place having numerous cave systems. So, two years ago, i finally made my move. For the hard core hiker interested in rock openings and tunnel systems with stalagmites and stalactites in various forms and shapes, then this trip is for you. You can have a variety of places to explore. You can do some hiking first and then save a few days for exploring the cave systems. Enjoy snorkelling in the dark. Warning though! it is insanely cold inside! Only for the tough! real tough!

In Samoa, caving is made possible with the use of old lava tubes. The islands have many caves as well but maybe not as complex as the sytems in PI. Samoa caves are home to many native birds and bats. The more popular species are the native white rumped swiftlet birds hiding in the dark corner of the caves. Bird watchers usually go there and other thrill seekers of that kind. The caves you were talking about sound like kingdoms inside mountains. I hope to be able to see that place. Ill do some research or you can educate me. I am a seeker just like you. Our caves don't compare i guess. But they are also worth visiting.

There are really lots of caves in the Philippines but I have not yet visited any of it. I have seen pictures though, and I am always amazed at the rock formation. Its really awesome men. Everyone will definitely love it. They are like statue of some creatures, and some formed like rivers, ripples etc.

Of all the pictueres of caves I have seen, Limestone Cave in Sagada is the coolest. The subterranean streams added to its beauty. It is in the northern part of the Philippines. .
