Suggestions on AT pack

Ive been looking into purchasing a pack as well, im looking to eventually try and tackle the AT and was wondering does 4000 cubic inches ( around 70 liters) seem to be an acceptablepack size for the treck, i do realize it depends on the bulk of my supplies but im trying to go as lightweight as possible. I was also looking at the osprey talon 44 as well, this bag is smaller and im looking for something that would be suitable to use without restricting me tremendously. I do realize this can be based on personal preferance but i would like to hear from people with a bit more experience and some suggestions on worthwhile investments!!
