it can be different for everyone. im not talking about supplies like first aid kit, hygiene pack, food stuff, etc. something sentimental? i always have my grandfathers pocket watch with me...he was the first to take me hiking

i dont think transistor meant supplies, something 'non-gear' like a charm or amulet of some sort

i never go hiking without my fisherman hat that ive had for 10 years

i don't believe in collars on pets but one time i saw this one irresistable black collar for my mom cat. i bought it, put it on her for a minute then took it off (didnt have the heart) after that i always wear it as a bracelet whenever i hike coz i cant take any of my cats with me
