This is a pretty tricky one and I need some help on it.
In December I'm off to go work at the South African Antartic base. I'll be working with the magnetometers so it's essential that I don't cause any data spikes when I'm there. So i need non magnetic gear. Most of it is not a problem but the boots are proving tough. I need boots that I can go outside in and do measurements with. Typical working tempreture is -20C but it has gone to -40C before.
The boots I need must have no magnetic metals in them, typically iron and steel, and it'd be nice if they were compatable with crampons and where usuable in warmer climates as well (I'm not going to be in the Antartic forever).
The Northern Outfitters "Arctic Boot" has no metal but I'd like some other options as well.
Any help would be appreciated and sorry for the long post but I wanted to be clear.
