Most of my hiking experiences are bad ones, search and rescue based. Usually the out comes are bad. But on a good note I love to see the sites, wildlife and so on. I have a passion for sunsets. I also love the sound of nature. One of my favorites is the sound of rain during the summer.

Mine is in finding terrain features I didn't expect in the area. Like when hiking in northwest Florida, the area is hillier than my AO - and we actually found some natural gullies, like minicanyons! Didn't expect that here in Florida!
I also enjoy coming upon an old building - I like old architecture, and like seeing how things were done way back!
Even a crumbled foundation and chimney can tell it's story, if one looks and 'listens'.

I can remember doing a nature walk in high for my agriculture class. I had to do a report on the possitive and negative effects of forest fires. After really seeing both sides of the effects and how really something so powerfull can actually be a possitve thing a year later.
I just love seeing the bounty that mother nature has put on this earth, I sometimes just enjoy hiking when I'm stressed or over welmed with life. Nature seems to make everything calm and all better.
On a bad note I hate to see all the trash people leave behind, I can't believe how lazy people can be.
