does your work allow you to hike as much or as often as you wish? are you confined on a chair?

i'm a plain ol' homemaker. after giving birth (when i feel like i can do it) i take the kids with the newborn for long walks. and when there's no newborn, i still take the kids hiking when we run out of things to do in the house when they're not in school

i hear you, pjsmith! i'm a housewife myself. my husband, my kids and i do take the time to go on a hiking trip every now and then. hubby's the one who does make sure he gets time off work for our family getaways.

I'm a mainframe computer programmer for the State - so I'm chained to my cubicle for the week. But I don't work weekends - then I'm unchained and can roam.
We have a pretty good team leader and admin - I can take leave when I want, if I have the time on the books.
