Hi. I was hoping someone might be able to help me with information on some old Dunham''s Tyroleans boots.
I found a pair of "Dunham''s Tyroleans" leather hiking boots model #7531. They appear unworn and the Vibram soles have not been broken in from "100% flat" . I polished the10 tarnished brass lace hooks on each boot and treated the leather and, boy do they they look old school and beautiful. I am not a hiker, but these boots looked like someone put a lot of quality materials and craftsmanship into them.
They fit almost perfectly. There is a tiny bit of extra volume in the instep, but I think a felt toungue pad will lock my heel in and make them a very solid fit.
The inside sole markings simply say "Dunhams Tyroleans Made in Italy" in gold lettering. The inside ankle of the boots are stamped 7531 and 8 1/2 with an "M" in a circle.
Anyone know when these boots might have been made? I can post a picture if that helps. Thanks for any information.
