Need advice: irregular heel-> no boots fit right

Hi!
I live not too far south from the artic circle and must have good hiking boots. The problem is that EVERY sock I buy gets ripped apart at the heel after about 3 days of normal usage (normal usage is about an hour a day of hiking to school and back).

Last winter I ruined all of my socks and many of my husbands. I thought it was my boots, but then realized that this happens with almost ALL of my shoes and boots. I realized that my calcaneus bone is irregular and sticks out like this < at the back of my foot rather than being a nice smooth curve-shape ( going down from my ankle to sole. To avoid getting blisters, I have to use fresh sports tape every day, but this still doesnt keep my socks from getting ruined.

I need to buy new hiking boots now and am at a loss for what to buy since I know that nothing will fit properly.

Any suggestions for boots that dont have normal heels? Any suggestions for options that are more permanent than applying sports tape every day? (orthotics inserts that work on the back of the heel instead of sole??)

Thanks!
