Casa Gustavo Holiday Accommodation in the Picos de Europa
Our guesthouse, Casa Gustavo, is a 500 year-old converted farmhouse set in the quiet hamlet of Aliezo, only 5 minutes drive from Potes. It is small and informal, run by an English family with children, cats and dogs. With its' thick stone walls, low timbered ceilings and shuttered windows, the house is cool in summer and warmed in winter by wood-burning stoves and central heating. The views from its' windows are outstanding. In summer evening meals are taken in the flower-filled courtyard, often using the barbecue. In winter convivial dinners are enjoyed around the large table in the dining-room. Upstairs is the sitting-room with books and maps for guests to peruse and the balcony for relaxing on. We, Lisa and Mike Stuart, have a wealth of information on the area at your disposal and are Spanish speaking.

There is a riding stable in the village. Potes, the nearest town, has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, restaurants and bars, banks and shops. The cable car at Fuente De is just 25 minutes drive and the beaches of the Costa Cantabrica, 50 minutes. Nearest airports are Santander, Bilbao and Oviedo. |
